Joliet Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Welcome to Joliet Law Enforcement torch Run benefitting Special Olympics!

Approximately 3,000 officers from around the state will carry the Flame of Hope nearly 1,500 miles, running thruogh thousands of Illinois communities.  the final destination will be the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Illinois Summer Games on June 11 in Normal Illinois. 
 
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest fund raising event  benefitting Special Olympics Illinois.  It is an annual relay run throughout the state by officers representing every branch of the law enforcement across the state.  The Torch Run's goals are to raise money for and awareness for the athletes who participate in Special Olympics Illinois.  The Torch run has raised over 7.7 million dollars over 18 years and it has increased awareness of Special Olympics Illinois athletes and their accomplishments.
